This memorable speech on his inaugural ceremony is recorded in a long play of John F. Kennedy Inaugural Address, and I am one of the few privileged whom own one; (the pictures are on the top of this Blog). The value of this long play is the content, the voice of one of the most liked Presidents of the American History, probably one of the best.
Even the hard critics he receives for the way he managed the Cuban Missiles Crisis, he was a president that never jump to the conclusions, always look for the peaceful alternative as a final solution on this and other matters.
The clan Kennedy was polemic because their father was involve on the traffic of liquor on the Prohibition, but that was not a label that affects the image of the President John Fitzgerald Kennedy.
His murder could never be clear, but his policies were fruitful, and thanks to him the racist Anglos stop their harassment against African Americans and other cultures.
Unfortunately the Kennedy’s image and quotes of his famous speeches are only used for politicians to gain votes not to follow the principles of honesty of the former president. Thanks to Kennedy I have the honor to preserve my Native American blood, traditions combined with Hispanic heritage. United States is a beautiful country not only territorial, what made it rich is his people, the land of the opportunity, where under one ceiling you can find people from all cultures and languages.
Americans preserve this country powerful, because they protect democracy and freedom of speech for the new generations, but not with politicians that abuse of their power they are diminishing the value of that unforgettable speech: “Ask not what your country can do for you ask What You Can Do for Your Country”. It seems that many are ignoring this speech.
I never voted democrat, I am Registered Republican, but I have to recognize that John F. Kennedy did a lot of the new generation of democrat politicians, not only with his constituency, or with his charisma, also did with the prudence of his determinations. Is a shame that now the elder in the congress like Charles Rangel, is negotiating on a corruption investigation to leave the congress with honor, but what honorable can be a congressman that negotiate and receive money under the table. Neil Borts on his radio show and Rush Limbaugh did the same appreciation in regard of this congressman, who is helping a lot to republicans for the 2010 mind term election.
